The State Home Department in Maharashtra is gearing up for a significant overhaul of its top police leadership, including the position of Director General of Police (DGP) and Police Commissioners of Nagpur and Thane. The impending retirement of the current DGP, Rajnish Seth, on December 31 has prompted the department to commence the process of selecting his successor.A top rank official said that several prominent names have emerged as contenders for the esteemed position of State DGP. The goats run over by train lying in the bushes. A herd of goats was mowed down by a train at Borgaon Khurd village of Kalmeshwar tehsil on Saturday. According to information, more than 25 goats were crossing the railway line when a speeding train mowed them down in the evening. The train was moving at the speed of 90 km/hour. Famer Harshal Dhole, a resident of Borgaon Khurd village was distressed following the incident as it has resulted in a loss of around two lakh to him. The hit was so powerful that the goats were thrown in the bushes. Many of them were crushed under the wheels of the train. A total of 15 goats were killed in the accident. A large number of villagers were gathered at the spot. The villagers demanded compensation to the farmer. Train movement was not affected by the incident.
