It write official letters, scan bank data and spot suspicious transactions. It sounds like science fiction - but it’s now reality in Maharashtra. The state police have started using Crime-OS, a powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool developed under the MARVEL project (Maharashtra Research and Vigilance for Enhanced Law Enforcement). This tool, built in partnership with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur, works like the co-pilot feature in Microsoft Office - but to solve crimes. It helps police save valuable time and reduces the heavy workload of investigations. The goats run over by train lying in the bushes. A herd of goats was mowed down by a train at Borgaon Khurd village of Kalmeshwar tehsil on Saturday. According to information, more than 25 goats were crossing the railway line when a speeding train mowed them down in the evening. The train was moving at the speed of 90 km/hour. Famer Harshal Dhole, a resident of Borgaon Khurd village was distressed following the incident as it has resulted in a loss of around two lakh to him. The hit was so powerful that the goats were thrown in the bushes. Many of them were crushed under the wheels of the train. A total of 15 goats were killed in the accident. A large number of villagers were gathered at the spot. The villagers demanded compensation to the farmer. Train movement was not affected by the incident.
