It write official letters, scan bank data and spot suspicious transactions. It sounds like science fiction - but it’s now reality in Maharashtra. The state police have started using Crime-OS, a powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool developed under the MARVEL project (Maharashtra Research and Vigilance for Enhanced Law Enforcement). This tool, built in partnership with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur, works like the co-pilot feature in Microsoft Office - but to solve crimes. It helps police save valuable time and reduces the heavy workload of investigations. Indian railway train in naxal affected area Chief Security Commandant of Central Railway and Inspector General of Railway Protection Force (RPF) Anil Sharma assured train passengers about their safety from naxal menace. “Despite of several major naxal attack on police in naxal affected area, Indian railway is safe from the naxals,” said Sharma. IG Sharma was on special visit of Nagpur division of central railway on Thursday. He supervised security arrangements at Nagpur station and then went to Chandrapur station on Thursday evening. The IG have asked RPF officers to improve security arrangement at Chandrapur, Ballarshaha stations, which are comes under Naxal affected area.
