Cops have registered the case after the complaint was lodged by his wife. Accused of this heinous crime has been identified as Krishna Anantrao Deshmukh (33), a resident of Suraburlid slum area, Wadi. Assistant Police Inspector (API) Murlidhar Pachorkar said that on Sunday morning, a brawl broke out between accused and his wife. Deshmukh thrashed his wife and reportedly abused her. By Dheeraj Fartode Shock and sensation prevailed in MIDC Hingna area when the body of Madhukar Sadashiv Rane, a security guard with the Food Corporation of India (FCI), was found lying in a pool of blood oozing from nearly 45 deep stabs, on Thursday. A resident of plot no 32, Central MIDC road, Rajgruha Nagar, 50-year-old Rane was on night duty on Wednesday. When an FCI worker opened the godown on Thursday morning, he found Madhukar dead and lying in a pool of blood. He called MIDC Police immediately and alerted other officers of Warehousing Corporation about the incident. The cops conducted panchanama and sent the badly mutilated body to Government Medical College and Hospital for post mortem. Primary investigations revealed that the murder may have taken place between midnight Wednesday and wee hours of Thursday. In financial year 2010-11, it diverted Rs 7,642 crore of Vidarbha and Marathwada regions to other parts of the State.
