Break-up: Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani

Truth can be stranger than the fiction. A City girl, barely 18, took her one-sided affair, rather too seriously and did something unimaginable. Mad in love with a boy, this girl took the extreme step of abducting the youth with the help of friends, bashed him up when he refused to reciprocate and finally shaved his head in a saloon to teach him a lesson for turning down her proposal.

This unusual and violent one-sided love story surprised even the cops, who initially disbelieved the episode.

Shital (18), a resident of Rachna Gokul Apartment, was ex-polio worker with Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Sachin (22), a resident of Tandapeth was driver with NMC’s vehicle. During polio vaccination drive, love blossomed in heart of Shital. It was one sided love, but Sachin never reciprocated her gestures. During past three to four months, the girl tried to come quite close to Sachin. But, Sachin maintained safe distance from this girl.

According to boy, Shital tried many a times to woo him and openly displayed her affection for him and dropped enough hints about soft-corner in her heart. But her efforts turned futile and Sachin never showed any interest.

On Tuesday, Shital along with five men accomplices hatched a plan to teach a lesson to Sachin. Shital and her accomplices chased Sachin’s vehicle from NMC. When Sachin stopped his vehicle in Mahal area, the accused persons blocked his vehicle and pull him off from the vehicle.

Police Inspector Rajendra Tayde said that the girl caught hold of Sachin and scolded him for neglecting her and hurting her feelings. Accomplices of the girl then came in front and bundled Sachin in Mahindra Bolero car. PI Tayde further said that the accused took Sachin to Mankapur area. The girl then thrashed Sachin with leather belt. Even then Sachin refused to express his love and this further infuriated Shital. Later they took Sachin to a saloon and shaved his head.

Shocked by this violent behaviour of girl, Sachin mustered courage and lodged a complaint with Kotawali police station. Kotwali police have registered a case under sections 365, 355 and 143 of Indian Penal Code. Till now, no arrests have been made.
