Major reshuffle expected in Maharashtra Police leadership

The State Home Department in Maharashtra is gearing up for a significant overhaul of its top police leadership, including the position of Director General of Police (DGP) and Police Commissioners of Nagpur and Thane. The impending retirement of the current DGP, Rajnish Seth, on December 31 has prompted the department to commence the process of selecting his successor.A top rank official said that several prominent names have emerged as contenders for the esteemed position of State DGP. The frontrunner is Senior IPS Officer Rashmi Shukla, who currently serves as the Director General (DG) of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar is also a strong candidate for the role. VHP reconverted 25,000 Muslims and Christians last year, VHP

Secretary General of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Milind Parande on Saturday said that more than 25,000 of Muslims and Christians were reconverted in Hindu religion in 2018. “We are organising reconversion programmes regularly across the country to reconvert Muslims and Christians in Hindu religion. The programme was conducted this year too but the figures are not compiled,” he said.  Addressing a press conference, Parande said that religious conversion is a national problem. “VHP want a bill which will make it difficult to convert people to other religions. Iridium fraud : Prime accused was posing himself as RAW agent

Cops probing into the ‘iridium fraud’ case were shocked to learn that accused Raj Singh alias Rajeshkumar Tarkeshwarsingh, a resident of Jharkhand, was posing as a RAW agent to impress the investors. The fraudster was arrested by the police for duping film producer-director Vipul Shah and his business partner of Rs. 5 crore by luring them into investing in ‘iridium business'. The accused was carrying three to four fake identity cards with him. He was organising seminars for handicapped people in which senior government officials were called as chief guest. After identifying ‘targets’ from the audience, he get befriended with them. Slowly, he was introducing “iridium business” to the targets. Jealous by FB posts, youth kidnap friend to extract his business details

25-10-19 JEALOUS with regular Facebook posts of a friend with his girlfriend, a youth kidnapped his friend with the help of two ‘fake policemen’ to extract details of his business. But the kidanppers landed in police lock up when beat marshals rounded them on suspicion.  The accused have been identified as Anmol Babulal Dongre (23), a resident of Manewada, Vidhnyan Nagar; Kishore Babanrao Chunatkar (42), a resident of Mhada Colony, Wadi and Shahzad Khan Habib Khan (41), a resident of Mominpura.  Dongre is a Medical Representative while Kishore and Shahjad are security guard and mechanic respectivelly.  Accused Dongre is the friend of complainant Neeraj Verma (17), a resident of Vidya Nagar. Film producer Vipul Shah and his partner duped of Rs 5 crore

24-10-19 Film Director and producer Vipul Shah and his partner in the film production company were duped by fraudsters to the tune of Rs five crore. The fruadsters assured investment of Rs 100 crore in their upcoming movies and told him that they were making money through old coins of British era, saying that the coin minted from Iridium, a precious metal, had some supernatural powers.   The accused have been identified as Rajsingh alias Rajeshkumar Tarkeshwarsingh, a resident of Jharkhand; Builder Keshav D Padole, a resident of Nirmal Puja Building, Shivaji Nagar and R. 23-10-19 NATIONAL Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) statistics for the year 2017 ranked Nagpur seventh in crime rate among 19 metro politan cities ofIndia and firstinthe State. The ranking is for cases registered under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Special and Local Laws (SLL) category.Most shocking fact is - Nagpur is ranked third in violent crimes across the country and again tops the list in Maharashtra. Office-bearars of Active Growth company booked for fraud of Rs 1.34 cr

Office-bearers of Active Growth company were booked by Economic Offences Wing (OCW) for duping investors to the tune of Rs 1.34 crore on pretext of double their investment within three months. The accused have been identified as Ganesh Shriram Kaikade, Vilas Shriram Kaikade and Sushma Ganesh Kaikade, all residents of Plot No. 60, Ayodhya Nagar, near Sai Mandir.  Complainant Vilas Vitthalrao Bobde (60), a resident of Plot No. 383, Vitthal-Rukmini Palace, Laxmi Nagar, lodged a complaint with EoW alleging the accused had collected Rs 28.50 lakh from him and Rs 71.84 lakh from other investors in July 2019 on pretext of doubling the investment. 7-Year-old girl raped by a man

In heinous crime, Imambada police have booked a 55-year-old man for raping a seven-year-old girl by luring her of money on Wednesday.  Accused Ramdas Punavu Shendur, a resident of Imambada, called the girl at his residence in the morning and raped her by luring her of money, said police. The girl narrated the incident to her parents, who reported the matter to police. The police have registered the case under Section 376 of Indian Penal Code read with Section 3, 4 of POSCO Act. The accused was arrested by the police.  A police official informed that the girl was used to come at the house accused as the family know each other.  In another rape case, Mankapur police have booked a teenager for raping a 16-year-old girl at her house.
