The fact is - the city cops are using the system without proper emphasis on crime prevention and security of citizens. Only Traffic Cops have been deployed to monitor the system with focus on stream lining traffic and issuing e-challan. Mystery has deepened in the death case of transporter Bhupendra Singh Manjit Singh Makan alias Bobby Sardar (46) as advance post-mortem report remained inconclusive. Yet, Jaripatka Police have registered a case of murder. Bobby's body was found on Sunday morning under jurisdiction of Kondhali police station. As it is suspected that crime started from city precincts, a case of murder was registered here on the basis of complaint given by his wife Parminder (49).  The investiators were banking on some leads from preliminary autopsy to move ahead with investigations. Nagpur is fast becoming a hub for floating fraudulent financial schemes and swindlers who dupe gullible investors and then simply vanish into thin air leaving thousands of people in a lurch. In a shocking revelation, the investigating machinery has confirmed that a whopping 57,904 investors have been duped by fraudsters to the tune of Rs 3,68,37,89,989 /- within 1,519 days (four year and two months) across the city. In a suspected case of murder, a city transporter's semi-decomposed body was found under the jurisdiction of Kondhali Police Station on Sunday. The body of Bhupendra Singh Manjit Singh Makan alias Bobby Sardar (46), a resident of Dixit Nagar, was found in a nullah at Kathalabodi village. Bobby was missing since last four-days and his wife had reported the matter to Jaripatka Police Station. Even as cops were sitting tight, news came about finding of Bobby’s body that sent ripples through the City Police administration. An extra-marital affair is suspected to have led to murder of a woman allegedly by two women in Kalamna area on Saturday night. Investigation revealed that Puja alias Pinki Paresh Bakhariya (35), a resident of Plot No. 68, Kalamna, was allegedly having an affair with a chicken shop owner Bhojraj Boduje Sahare (34), a resident of Plot No. 175, Chikhli, Kalamna.  Bhojraj’s wife - Jyotsana (32) - learnt about the affair and determined to teach a lesson to Pinki with whom her husband was involved. Jyotsana and her mother Pramila Jain Tabhane (50), a resident of Kamal Chowk, went to meet Puja near Chikhli Chowk at around 11 pm. Jyotsana lost her cool on seeing Puja and picked up a quarrel with her.  In a fit of rage, Jyotsana took out a sharp-weapon and stabbed Puja on the stomach. Policemen have become victims of illegal activities of their own as Duty Assistants (Duty Madadgar) of Police Station have allegedly pressurised a section of policemen to file applications for request transfers. Ahead of general transfer an exercise is under way to get data from respective police stations about the personnel. As per norms, a policemen who has completed five years are shifted to other places, either police station, Traffic Control Branch, Special Branch, Crime Branch, Headquarters or other units. Also police personnel who have completed three years in one place too can apply for request transfer and also list the choices. It is in the second category that allegations of compulsion has surfaced from some of the field units. However, controversy erupted after office of Commissioner of Police received complaints from field staff that their applications were filled by pressursing them.
