Shocker : Push to reopen Dabo Club after Christmas Night double murder

Dabo club Nagpur Efforts to reopen the controversial Dabo Club, which was shut down for 45 days following the murder of two young men, have triggered strong anger and fear among the families of the victims. The incident took place in the early hours of December 26 last year during a Christmas party at Dabo Club. Pranav Ranavare (27) was allegedly killed after a minor dispute. His friend, Gaurav Karda (34), was badly injured in the same incident and later died during treatment.  The Sonegaon police arrested six accused - Soumya Deshmukh, Mehul alias Monu Rahate, Rajiv Chawla, Abhay Jhamtani, Gappu Sharma and Tushar Nankani. All the accused are currently lodged in jail. The club is owned by Directors Devyani Vijay Wadettiwar, Karan Vikram Thakkar and Mohd Hamza Rayeen. HC Directs Full Two-Year Extension for Dalmia Cement Mining Lease in Chandrapur dist

  The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court has given relief to Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited by directing the State of Maharashtra to grant a full two-year extension of the Letter of Intent (LOI) for a limestone mining lease in Chandrapur district . The court was hearing a writ petition filed by Dalmia Cement challenging a state government letter dated September 1, 2025, which denied proper extension of the LOI for the Gojoli Mineral Block . The case was heard by Justices Anil S Kilor and Rajnish R Vyas . Dalmia Cement had emerged as the preferred bidder for the Gojoli limestone block after offering the highest bid in a government auction. The company received the LOI in September 2020, valid for three years and extendable by two more years under the Mineral (Auction) Rules, 2015 . HC dismisses plea by Senior citizen against CBI, allows request for locker key at Nagpur

  The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court has dismissed a writ petition filed by 70-year-old Dr Vidya Sagar Banarsi Das Garg , who had alleged continuous harassment by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and other agencies in connection with a bank fraud case . The petition was heard by Justices Anil S Kilor and Rajnish R Vyas . Dr Garg, a senior citizen from Nagpur , claimed that he was wrongly implicated in an FIR registered by the CBI in December 2019 following a complaint by Punjab National Bank, Kolkata . He told the court that he was only a salaried whole time director in Corporate Ispat Alloys Ltd and had no role in the day-to-day affairs of the company. He further stated that several agencies, including the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED), had earlier given him a clean chit. Maharail under RTI scanner: SIC pulls up corporation for ignoring ex-minister’s query

The State Information Commission (SIC), Mumbai headquarters , has strongly criticised the Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (Maharail) for failing to respond to a Right to Information (RTI) application filed by former Minister of State and ex-MLA Dr Avinash Warjukar .  The SIC Rahul Pande has directed Maharail to provide complete information within a fixed time and has expressed serious concern over the way RTI applications are being handled by the corporation. Dr Warjukar had filed RTI applications on February 15, 2024 and again on January 23, 2025, seeking information on 12 points related to the formation of Maharail, appointment of its Managing Director , approvals of works and the scope of development projects undertaken by the corporation. Dabo Club Nagpur The City police have ordered the owners of Dabo Club and Kitchen to shut down the establishment for the next 45 days after a brutal murder outside the club on Wardha Road . The shocking murder has exposed safety, crowd control, and oversight at the club which is jointly owned by Devyani Vijay Wadettiwar , Karan Vikram Thakkar , and Mohd Hamja Rayeen . 8-Month-Old Baby Snatched by Wild Animal in Narsala, Body Found Mutilated

An eight-month-old girl was allegedly snatched by a wild animal from her family’s temporary hut during the night in Narsala area. The infant’s mutilated body was later found nearby which left her migrant labourer parents shattered and the entire locality gripped by fear and grief. Preliminary findings suggest the attack may have been carried out by a fox or hyena, rather than a leopard. The deceased has been identified as Anushka Ravikishan Meda, whose family originally hails from Similia village in Madhya Pradesh . According to police, around eight months ago, Anushka’s father Ravikishan arrived in Nagpur along with about 25 other labourers and their families to work on a sewer pipeline project in the Narsala area. What was meant to be a cheerful Christmas celebration at the CP Club in Civil Lines turned ugly late on Tuesday night after a heated argument led to a violent attack. A young man was seriously injured after being hit with a glass during a party, following abuses allegedly made in the name of a BJP MLA. The incident took place in the early hours of December 25 at the 1901 Lounge of the CP Club, where a Christmas party was being hosted. According to police, the party was attended by several well-known faces from the city. Among them were the injured man, Sarvottam Sanjay Kothari (32), a resident of Ramdaspeth, and the accused, Akshay Muglewar (29), who lives near Ravi Nagar Chowk. The two reportedly knew each other. Dabo Pub Nagpur By Dheeraj Fartode A Christmas night party at Dabo Club ended in murder early Friday morning after a clash between two groups spiralled into a violent attack, leaving one man dead and another fighting for his life. The incident took place around 4 am near Pride Square , close to the club, within the limits of Sonegaon Police Station . Police said that both groups were inside the club but arrived at different times. The victims and their friends reached Dabo around 11.30 pm on Thursday, while the other group entered close to midnight.  Trouble reportedly began inside the club when one of the accused identified as Mehul Mehul Rahate allegedly asked for the phone number of a woman who was with the victims.
