A five-year-old boy was killed when the gate he was playing with collapsed on him in the limits of Kalamna police. The heart-wrenching incident took place on Saturday evening, Kalamna police said.
According to police, Tulsidas Ramchandra Tangale (46) was living in the rented accomodation at Plot No. 114, Nivrutti Nagar, Gujrati Colony, for the past few years. His son Riyash was playing with the gate on Saturday at 4 pm. The heavy gate suddenly collapsed on him. Riyash was trapped under the gate. The family members rescued him. He sustained grievous head injuries in the accident. Profusely bleeding Riyash was taken to the hospital where he breathed his last. A case of accidental death was registered by Kalamna police. Further investigation is on.
