A 13-year-old girl was gang raped at a crematorium in Hingna area when she was going to attend nature’s call on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. The girl was admitted at the hospital and her condition is critical.
The accused have been identified as Amit Jaiprakash Thakur (18) and Balwant Gond (20) and two other juveniles.
According to police, the girl had gone to attend nature’s call in the bushes on Sunday at 11.30 pm. Amit and Balwant stopped the girl and forced her to sit on the motorcycle. The boys took the girl to crematorium where they raped her for two hours. They also threatened her of dire consequences if she narrate the incident to anyone. The girl somehow managed to reach the house and informed her parents about the crime. The parents informed the police about the incident and rushed her for medical check-up. The girl was admitted to the hospital.
A police officer informed that one of the accused was in contact with the girl. The accused have been booked under Sections 376 (d) (a), 354 (a), 323, 363, 504, 506 of Indian Penal Code, sections 6, 8 and 12 of POSCO act and Sections 3 (a) (w) (I)(II), 3 (2) (v) of The Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
