Dabo club Nagpur Efforts to reopen the controversial Dabo Club, which was shut down for 45 days following the murder of two young men, have triggered strong anger and fear among the families of the victims. The incident took place in the early hours of December 26 last year during a Christmas party at Dabo Club. Pranav Ranavare (27) was allegedly killed after a minor dispute. His friend, Gaurav Karda (34), was badly injured in the same incident and later died during treatment. The Sonegaon police arrested six accused - Soumya Deshmukh, Mehul alias Monu Rahate, Rajiv Chawla, Abhay Jhamtani, Gappu Sharma and Tushar Nankani. All the accused are currently lodged in jail. The club is owned by Directors Devyani Vijay Wadettiwar, Karan Vikram Thakkar and Mohd Hamza Rayeen. An on duty keyman of South Eastern Central Railway (SECR) Nagpur Division was run over by 12906 Howrah-Hapa Express at Kamptee station on Sunday.
Rajkumar Ishwar Tembhurne (46), a resident of Rama Nagar, Kamptee, was working on the track. The incident occurred at 5 pm when the keyman was busy tightening keys of the track at railway station. As he noticed an approaching train, Rajkumar shifted to adjoining track ignoring that another train was also arriving on that track. Though the Loco Pilot honked, as the adjoining track was still not clear the keyman froze and was run over.
Staff of Government Railway Police (GRP), Itwari, rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy. Cops have registered a case of accidental death and launched a probe.
