It write official letters, scan bank data and spot suspicious transactions. It sounds like science fiction - but it’s now reality in Maharashtra. The state police have started using Crime-OS, a powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool developed under the MARVEL project (Maharashtra Research and Vigilance for Enhanced Law Enforcement). This tool, built in partnership with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur, works like the co-pilot feature in Microsoft Office - but to solve crimes. It helps police save valuable time and reduces the heavy workload of investigations. Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Monday reviewed the preparations for his anti-graft agitation proposed at New Delhi from August 9 in which apart from his Patanjali Yog Samiti, other organisations like Shetakari Sanghatana, Kisan Panchayat, Yuva Bharat are expected to mobilise mass support for this movement. This time, Ramdev’s followers are not leaving any stone unturned and even at the grass root level, activists are reaching out to village level. Meeting held at Geeta Mandir chalked out future course of action for the movement.While addressing the gathering Baba Ramdev said, “To remove corruption in the system it is important to stand firmly against it in every possible condition. Because, ultimately common man has to suffer due to corrupt system.”
In the workshop Baba Ramdev briefed Gram Netas’ to introduce villagers about their Andolan, involve them in process and obtain a consent letter from them for the stir. Don’t just mobilise crowd, try to spread awareness about menace of black-money and ill-gotten money which is threatening our democracy and way of life.
