He was replying to a Calling Attention Motion moved by Shiv Sena (UBT) Legislature Amshya Padvi. Padvi demanded immediate recruitment of the tribal candidates on vacant posts of State government.
There are 3,898 government employees in the State who failed to submit caste validity certificates. These employees are adjusted to ad-hoc posts. The recruitment process of the Scheduled Tribe category will be implemented as per the service entry rules by designing a time-bound programme, he assured.
The process of recruitment of the posts under Maharashtra Public Service Commission in the currently vacant posts will be completed by December 31, 2023 and the process of filling the posts in Group C and Group D will be completed by July 31, 2023, the minister informed.
Kesarkar said that it has been decided to give service related and retirement benefits to the ad-hoc employees. However, they will not get the benefit of promotion and job on compassionate ground policy.
The minister also informed that government officials and employees working in ad-hoc class would be given one day technical break after a period of 11 months till their retirement.
MLCs Sachin Ahir, Mahadev Jankar, Ramesh Patil, Jayant Patil, Gopichand Padalkar, Abhijeet Wanjari, Praveen Datke also took part in the discussion.
