The deceased was identified as Ramsingh Thakur (55). He was working as a mason. The accused were identified as Raju Burande and Mukesh Ambhore. Both are construction workers, police said.
According to police, the accused used to consume alcohol. A quarrel took place between the accused and Ramsingh on Saturday morning. Raju and Mukesh consumed liquor Saturday night and went to the house of Ramsingh. They picked a quarrel with Ramsingh and hit a wooden rod on his head. Sustaining grievous injuries, Ramsingh breathed his last on the spot due to heavy blood loss. The killers fled the spot. The incident came to the fore on Sunday morning. Staff of Imambada police led by Sr PI Rajkamal Waghmare inspected the crime spot and sent the body for post-mortem. An offence under Sections 302 and 34 of Indian Penal Code was registered by the police. The police launched a manhunt to arrest the accused persons.
