Shocker : Push to reopen Dabo Club after Christmas Night double murder

Dabo club Nagpur Efforts to reopen the controversial Dabo Club, which was shut down for 45 days following the murder of two young men, have triggered strong anger and fear among the families of the victims. The incident took place in the early hours of December 26 last year during a Christmas party at Dabo Club. Pranav Ranavare (27) was allegedly killed after a minor dispute. His friend, Gaurav Karda (34), was badly injured in the same incident and later died during treatment.  The Sonegaon police arrested six accused - Soumya Deshmukh, Mehul alias Monu Rahate, Rajiv Chawla, Abhay Jhamtani, Gappu Sharma and Tushar Nankani. All the accused are currently lodged in jail. The club is owned by Directors Devyani Vijay Wadettiwar, Karan Vikram Thakkar and Mohd Hamza Rayeen. Truck driver burnt alive after truck falls into river

A truck driver was burnt alive after his vehicle, carrying consignment of country liquor, fell into a river and caught fire. The accident occurred near Ruikhairi village in Butibori police station area in the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Hemraj alias Pintya Devidas Pingale (25), a resident of Masal village, Teshil- Lakhandur, District - Bhandara.
According to police, the truck was laden with consignment of country liquor and heading towards Nagpur. He lost control over the vehicle when he took turn on Chandrapur-Nagpur road. As a result, the truck went off the road and fell into the river. The liquor catches fire within a minute and Pingale burnt alive. Staff of Butibori police station led by PSI Sanjay Bharti rushed to the spot and inspected the crime scene. A case under provisions of IPC and MVA was registered by Butibori police.

DCP Sunil Kolhe gets IPS cadre

DCP (crime) Sunil Kolhe By Dheeraj Fartode About 28 State Police Service (SPS) officers were granted  Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre on Monday. At Nagpur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (Crime) Sunil Kolhe is among these officers. With their promotion, Maharashtra Government will fill-up the existing vacancies of cadre posts across the State.
