Shocker : Push to reopen Dabo Club after Christmas Night double murder

Dabo club Nagpur Efforts to reopen the controversial Dabo Club, which was shut down for 45 days following the murder of two young men, have triggered strong anger and fear among the families of the victims. The incident took place in the early hours of December 26 last year during a Christmas party at Dabo Club. Pranav Ranavare (27) was allegedly killed after a minor dispute. His friend, Gaurav Karda (34), was badly injured in the same incident and later died during treatment.  The Sonegaon police arrested six accused - Soumya Deshmukh, Mehul alias Monu Rahate, Rajiv Chawla, Abhay Jhamtani, Gappu Sharma and Tushar Nankani. All the accused are currently lodged in jail. The club is owned by Directors Devyani Vijay Wadettiwar, Karan Vikram Thakkar and Mohd Hamza Rayeen. Offence of cuplable homicide against contractor of Metro Rail

An offence of culpable homicide was registered against a contractor of Nagpur metro rail in a death of a lady security guard on March 5. The woman had accidentally hit ropes erected across roads to restrict movement of vehicles on the over-bridge.
The deceased was identified as Manisha Viroj Wasnik (45), a resident of Imambada. According to police, Wasnik was working as a security guard at AIIMS hospital. She was going to the hospital on a two-wheeler at 4.45 am. She accidentally hit ropes erected across roads near Ajni Metro station to restrict movement of vehicles on the over-bridge as work was under progress on the bridge. Sustaining serious injuries, Wasnik died in the hospital.
After registering a case of accidental death, Dhantoli police investigated the case and found Metrol rail contractor NCC Ltd company responsible for hear death. An offence under Section 304 of Indian Penal Code was registered by the police.
