I got them made recently after months of labour work.” The plastic box, warped and blackened by heat, was one of the few things left from his two-room house on the outskirts of Dhamangaon village . All around him lay ash, broken tin sheets and charred wooden beams. The walls had cracked under the heat and the front room’s tin roof had caved in completely. DB squad of Nandanvan PS booked under NDPS Act

Five police personnel attached to Nandanvan police station have been booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 after Rs 2.45 lakh cash and 34 gm of mephedrone (MD) drug was seized from their cupboard at the police station.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Nirmala Devi informed ‘The Hitavada’ that a surprise checking on conducted at the police station on the basis of a tip-off. “We have found the cash and MD drug in their cupboard in DB room of the police station,” she said. 
The accused policemen have been identified as constable Sachin Emprediwar, Rajendra Sirbhate, Dilip Awgan, Roshan Nimbarte, Abhay Marode. An offence under Sections 22(b), 29(b) and 59(a) of NDPS Act, 1985 was registered against the policemen and two drug peddlers Jamal and Javed on the basis of complaint given by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Sakkardara Division Vijay Dhapawkar. 
Investigation revealed that the police personnel had nabbed a drug peddler Jamal in Nandanvan area on October 14 at 2.30 pm. The police had seized the MD drug from his possession. But Jamal somehow managed to escape from the police custody. Soon after, another drug peddler Javed met the accused police personnel and given Rs 2.45 lakh for not arresting Jamal. The policemen came back to the police station and kept the cash and the drug in the cupboard. Senior police officers are conducting inquiry in the matter to find role of other policemen in the case. 

ATS handed-over suspect in Kamlesh Tiwari murder case to UP police 

Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Nagpur has handed-over Sayyed Asim Ali (29), an suspect in Kamlesh Tiwari murder case, to Uttar Pradesh police on Monday. The UP police produced him before JMFC court and obtained his transit remand. 
Sayyad, a resident of Plot No. 17, Near Om Aaata Chakki, Mane Lay-out, Zingabai Takli was in constant touch with other accused - involved in the murder case, said an ATS offiicial. The cops are suspecting that Ali had played an important role in the conspiracy. On the basis of information given by ATS Nagpur, the UP police team arrived in Nagpur on Monday and took Ali in their custody. 
Under the guidance of Deven Bharti, Additional Director General of Police (ATS), Maharahstra and Jayant Naiknaware, Deputy Inspector General of Police, ATS, Maharashtra, the operation was conducted by Avinash Bargal, Superintendent of Police, Aurangabad, ATS, Vikram Deshmane, DCP, ATS, Mumbai, Ganesh Kindre, ACP, Nagpur, ATS, Maharashtra and Anil Lokhande, Police Inspector, ATS Nagpur and his team.

At Nagpur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (Crime) Sunil Kolhe is among these officers.
