Koradi police have booked a youth for allegedly slapping a girl on Saturday. According to police, an argument ensued between the girl and accused Sunil Nagjivan Tigga (20), a resident of Koradi, over some issues. The accused and girl resides in the same locality. During the argument, Tigga slapped the girl in full public view. The girl approached police station and lodged a complaint. The cops have booked the accused under Sections 354, 448 and 323 of Indian Penal Code.
Tricksters dupes an-old aged man
Two tricksters fraudulently replaced Debit card of an-old aged man and withdrew Rs 40,000 from his account. The incident was reported in Wadi area last year. According to police, victim Ramrao Domaji Karadbhajne (70), a resident of Plot No. 101, Tikli Grihnirman Society, Thakre lay-out, Dabha had gone to ATM of Union Bank of India on May 5, 2016. After several attempts, Ramrao failed to withdraw the money from the ATM. Two tricksters standing near the ATM approached aged Ramrao and offered help. The tricksters were not successful to withdraw the ATM card.Later, Ramrao went to another ATM where he realised that the youths have exchanged the card. He also received messages from the bank about successful transaction of Rs 40,000. Duped by the tricksters, old-aged Ramrao approached Wadi Police Station and lodged a complaint. The Wadi police took six months to file FIR in the case under Sections 420, 406 and 34 of Indian Penal Code.
Land owner dupes man
Sadar police have booked a person for allegedly cheating one to tune of Rs. two lakhs in a land deal. The accused tried to pass on a piece of land that was already sold to a third party. The complainant Sunil Kaledin Chapariya (34), is a resident of Plot No. 29, behind Post Office, Sadar, while the accused is Tulshiram Babulal Warkhede (56), a resident of Mangalwari Bazar, Sadar. Tulshiram approached Chapariya about a plot situated at MIDC, Kalmeshwar. Sunil agreed to purchase the plot and gave Rs 2 lakh to Tulshiram. A sale agreement of the plot was done. Later, Sunil realised that the plot was already sold to someone. Then, he met Tulshiram and asked to return the money. However, Tulshiram refused to do so and abused him. Sunil approached Sadar police station and lodged a complaint against Tulshiram. The cops have booked the accused under Sections 420, 504 and 506 of Indian Penal Code. Further investigation is on.
