Goon Little Sardar fired upon in his office, gets hit on back

Notorious goon of North Nagpur, Little Sardar, was shot at his office at Ashok Square in Pachpaoli Police Station area on Sunday night. Soon after the attack, the assailants fled the spot by throwing their weapon on the road. The police said the shooters were two in number whose identity is yet to be established.

The local police and crime branch suspect that business rivalry could be a reason behind the attack. However, a section of officers are investigating whether the incident was stage managed by Little Sardar himself.

firearm at office of Little Sardar on Sunday night.
According to police, the incident occurred at 8 pm when Shailendrasingh Gurucharansingh Lohiya alias Little Sardar (38) and his one unidentified friend were sitting in the courtyard of latter's office. Two assailants arrived on motorcycle and barged in the office premises. They took out weapon and aimed at Little Sardar. Total two rounds were fired and one bullet hit Little Sardar in his back while another bullet brushed his leg. Friend of Little Sardar fled the spot to save himself. The shooters fled the spot on the motorcycle and also threw the weapon on the road. Sardar called his friends for help and they admitted him at Wockhardt Hospital, Shankar Nagar, where doctors are treating him.
Staff of Pachpaoli Police Station led by Senior Police Inspector Narendra Hiwre and Crime Branch team led by Sr. PI Vaibhav Jadhav rushed to the spot after receiving information. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone III) Sambhaji Kadam also visited the spot and directed the staff to collect evidence.
A team of Forensic Experts also reached the spot. A senior police officer informed that only Little Sardar and his friend were in the office and they were sitting on the benches in the courtyard. Shutter of the office was closed but not locked, the officer said. Little Sardar runs his office near Ashok Square and he is big way into property dealing.
It may be mentioned that the Little Sardar was booked under stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) last year. He had fired shots Jogender Singh Dillo and Goldy at Patankar Square.

A section of police officers suspect that entire incident is another drama enacted by “Little Sardar”. Though the attack on the goon happened between 8 pm and 8.15 pm however, the information reached police after an hour which has raised doubts among cops. This is happening first time that even after being fired at with aim of killing, the cops got information almost after an hour. Similarly it is also a bit casual on part of the attackers to leave behind the evidence, the weapon right at the crime spot so that it can easily found that has intrigued the police.

IGP Mallikarjuna Prasanna By Dheeraj Fartode  Published on Feb/17/2019 NOT many are aware of an episode during the then US President Barack Obama’s visit to India in 2010. The world’s most powerful man was made to wait for 11 minutes in his car while an Indian cop took on American officials for their unwarranted interference in the US President’s security. KM Mallikarjuna Prasanna, Special Inspector General of Police of Nagpur Range, still continues to work with the same pride, wearing his patriotism on the sleeve. “Had they (Americans) deployed their personnel for area security, then the message would have been Indians are unable to protect VIPs in their nation,” recounted Prasanna on the episode that is one of the highlights of his distinguished career of a skillful investigator. The story of the IPS officer of 2000 batch is worth a film. In fact, a movie (Nagarjun-starrer ‘Officer’) has already been made by Ram Gopal Verma last year. His real life script also ha

It is situated at the confluence of five rivers -- Wainganga, Kanhan, Aam, Kolari and Murza. Just around a decade ago the river bank housing Ambhora used to see a flux of tourists from all over the State. However, the banks were submerged in water after the construction of Gosikhurd dam which led to rise in water levels. Since then, tourist flow at Ambhora has also declined. However, now with the construction of the new bridge tourists will get a chance see the scenic backwaters across the river bed which is
