Dabo club Nagpur Efforts to reopen the controversial Dabo Club, which was shut down for 45 days following the murder of two young men, have triggered strong anger and fear among the families of the victims. The incident took place in the early hours of December 26 last year during a Christmas party at Dabo Club. Pranav Ranavare (27) was allegedly killed after a minor dispute. His friend, Gaurav Karda (34), was badly injured in the same incident and later died during treatment. The Sonegaon police arrested six accused - Soumya Deshmukh, Mehul alias Monu Rahate, Rajiv Chawla, Abhay Jhamtani, Gappu Sharma and Tushar Nankani. All the accused are currently lodged in jail. The club is owned by Directors Devyani Vijay Wadettiwar, Karan Vikram Thakkar and Mohd Hamza Rayeen. New row sparked between LG Najeeb Jung and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over order notification cancelling the appointment of Krishna Saini as the chairman of Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC). CM Arvind Kejriwal directly hits at Centre and LG for “big conspiracy.”
The Delhi governemnt and LG Jung have not good terms and Kejriwal always targets Centre for conspiracy agaisnt the AAP governemnt.
Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal have cancelled the LG's order and alleged that removal of Saini was part of a conspiracy to increase power tariff in the capital to benefit the discoms.
Kejriwal said Saini would continue as DERC chief as LG did not consulted with CM or power minister Satyendar Jain before ordering his removal.
“It's sad that he (Jung) is cutting salaries of people, stopping mohalla clinics, closing schools. He has turned governance into a joke in Delhi. Does he intend to shut down Delhi” Kejriwal asked at a press conference on Saturday.
Who is Krisna Saini?
Former chief income tax commissioner Krishna Saini was appointed as new chairman of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) on March 2016. Saini, a 1981-batch Indian Revenue Service officer and he was the fourth chairman of the commission.
