It write official letters, scan bank data and spot suspicious transactions. It sounds like science fiction - but it’s now reality in Maharashtra. The state police have started using Crime-OS, a powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool developed under the MARVEL project (Maharashtra Research and Vigilance for Enhanced Law Enforcement). This tool, built in partnership with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur, works like the co-pilot feature in Microsoft Office - but to solve crimes. It helps police save valuable time and reduces the heavy workload of investigations. - Train between Nagpur-Secunderabad will run with speed of 160 km/h
General Manager of Central Railway (CR) Akhil Agrawal on Thursday denied any possibility of running bullet train from Nagpur. However, the GM assured that work of high-speed corridor from Napgur to Secunderabad is under progress.
Addressing a press conference at DRM office, Agrawal said that trains are running with max speed of 100 to 110 km/h on Nagpur-Secunderabad route. The speed will increase upto 160 km/h after completion of the project. However, he denied any sanction for bullet train from Nagpur.

On the topic of development of Nagpur railway station, the GM said that many works have been sanctioned for Nagpur station including increasing length of existing platform, new Foot Over Bridge (FoB) at Itarasi end and parking slot at West gate. Eight number platform would be used widely for train movement after completion of doubling work of Howrah line, claimed Agrawal.
Nagpur division is missing earning target due to considerable fall in coal loading, the main bread-and-butter of the division. However, the division is exploring new ways revenue generation.
Agrawal visited Nagpur Railway Station including crew booking lobby, driver and guard lobby and TTE lobby. He also inspected Sleeper class waiting room, Electric switch room, information centre and circulating area of the station. He have inaugurated CCTV surveillance system and also visited Ajni Loco shed.
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Brijesh Kumar Gupta, and ADRM Trilok Kothari and others were present in the press conference.
