Serial killer nabbed, three murders in three days

By Dheeraj Fartode
A psychopath serial killer was caught by police on Tuesday, capping the mystery surrounding three murders in equal number of days. Arrest of Ramesh Harishchandra Hadge (22) came as a major relief for city police. A shaken police force expressed a sigh of relief on getting the breakthrough.
While two bodies were found in public places in jurisdiction of Nandanvan police station, on Tuesday another gory murder came to light in Kalamna area.
The city police was in tizzy in aftermath of two murders in Nandanvan area. The cops were shaken as in both the cases there were many similarities and it was concluded that a madman is on prowl. For police it a major challenge as neither of bodies was identified nor was any clue available. But nevertheless the classic police response in aftermath of such cases proved effective.
The entire police was put on high alert and patrolling was also intensified, more in Zone-III and Zone-IV of Police Commissionerate. The lady luck smiled on cops as a patrolling team of Kalamna police intercepted a person who was found roaming at Pardi area. The cops frisked the youth who appeared disheveled and was carrying a bag. For the seasoned cops the search of bag revealed a big surprise, blood stained clothes and a big knife.
The youth was rounded-up and taken to police station. Senior police officers came into scene and put the youth under gruelling interrogation. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-IV, Ishu Sindhu said the youth is a total wreck and he really tested our nerves throughout the night. The youth maintained, he had found the bag lying on the road and does not know anything about the murders or the blood stained clothes. Giving out his first name as Rakesh, the youth remained firm on his statement. Now cops were in predicament, even though our gut instinct said we had nabbed the killer, DCP Sandhu said while talking to The Hitavada.
‘Rakesh’ Tested Cops: Earlier the youth appeared to had checkmated the cops by sticking to his story. He told cops about residing in Bhandara and a police team was dispatched their to verify his credentials. But when the team from Bhandara failed to find any clue the investigators again took ‘Rakesh’ in and put him under another gruelling session.
Similarly, top police bosses decided to go back to basics. Team of policemen fanned out in near-by areas armed with photo of Rakesh and again they got a lead when an elderly lady recognised the youth. The lady identified the photograph as that of her son, Ramesh. Now police had zeroed on and it was matter of time before ‘Rakesh’ sang the police tune.
Meanwhile cops also visited Ramesh's house and were surprised to find several dolls that had puncture wounds. This showed the mental state of Ramesh and also connected him to gory killings.
Tulsi Nagar: Sources informed that the accused resides in Tulsi Nagar area and known in the area for his eccentric behaviour. Investigation revealed that accused did not  know any of the deceased and nor had any enmity with either of them. He picked on the strangers and killed them after suffering attack.
Ramesh sources said has confessed to killing three persons whose identity are under wraps. The youth told cops that in aftermath of such psycho attacks he used to roam wildly in area as he used to be filled with tremendous energy. “Either I hurts myself or whosoever standing near me”, Ramesh told cops. Ramesh described in details as to how he picked-up on the victims.
The psychopath stabs the victim multiple times after confronting them in isolated area. Thereafter, Ramesh is reported to have told that he used to wildly stab all over the deceased, filled in by rage for several times. In all three cases cops found more than 100 wounds on the deceased bodies.

Third dead body found
A third body was found today, this time in Kalamna area. The body as usual was unidentified  and nature of killing was same as that of earlier two murders in Nandanvan area. The police officers were now firm that a serial killer is on loose.
The police got information about a body lying near Baradwari Lake in bushes. The person was in 30 to 35-years age group and his body bore multiple wounds on neck, chest, thigh, back and private parts. Like first two cases the police had no missing report about any person nor identify of anybody could be ascertained.
Meanwhile the accused will be produced in the court on Wednesday, said DCP Sindhu. DCP Sanjay Latkar was also assisting in investigating the case and he is holding charge of DCP Zone-III.

Identity of three bodies not yet established
Identity of the dead bodies is yet to established as cops not get any clue. The police have sent photographs to all police stations to search missing reports. However, no missing report about the dead body is received till date. Identification of the dead bodies would be very urgent, if the serial killer was nabbed as the police were not getting any angle of investigation.

IGP Prasanna : The man who stopped Obama’s convoy

IGP Mallikarjuna Prasanna By Dheeraj Fartode  Published on Feb/17/2019 NOT many are aware of an episode during the then US President Barack Obama’s visit to India in 2010. The world’s most powerful man was made to wait for 11 minutes in his car while an Indian cop took on American officials for their unwarranted interference in the US President’s security. KM Mallikarjuna Prasanna, Special Inspector General of Police of Nagpur Range, still continues to work with the same pride, wearing his patriotism on the sleeve. “Had they (Americans) deployed their personnel for area security, then the message would have been Indians are unable to protect VIPs in their nation,” recounted Prasanna on the episode that is one of the highlights of his distinguished career of a skillful investigator. The story of the IPS officer of 2000 batch is worth a film. In fact, a movie (Nagarjun-starrer ‘Officer’) has already been made by Ram Gopal Verma last year. His real life script also ha

Just around a decade ago the river bank housing Ambhora used to see a flux of tourists from all over the State. However, the banks were submerged in water after the construction of Gosikhurd dam which led to rise in water levels. Since then, tourist flow at Ambhora has also declined.
