Uddhav slams Cong-NCP for Vidarbha’s woes

Sena chief criticises UPA for hob-nobbing with Shahi Imam and cobra-post sting to polarise communities during elections

By Dheeraj Fartode
Holding Congress led UPA government squarely responsible for farmers’ suicide in Vidarbha region and total failure of MIHAN project, Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray on Monday appealed voters to cast their votes for Shiv Sena, BJP and RPI (A) candidate Krupal Tumane who is contesting for second time from Ramtek. “Shiv Sena is committed to development of entire Vidarbha region and Sena will prove it,  if the voters give us an opportunity,” Thackeray promised.
Addressing an impressive campaign rally for Tumane at Kanhan, Uddhav said, officially the MIHAN project was to complete before 2015. However, scenario is totally opposite. The project will not take off till 2030 if the Congress led government continues in Centre and state. Around seven lakh youths of Vidarbha region migrated to other parts of country and the reason is alarming unemployment in the region, he said.
Sena leader Subhash Desai, Dr Dipak Sawant, Former MP Prakash Jadhav, MLAs Adv Ashish Jaiswal, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Vijay Ghodmare, Sudhir Parwe, Ashok Shinde, Sena leaders Radheshyam Hatewar, BJP District Chief Rajiv Potdar, Shekhar Sawarbandhe, RPI leader Digambar Kathale and others were present on the dais.

Uddhav Thackeray adressing a rally at Kanhan on Monday.
Lashing out at NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, the Sena president charged him with neglecting agriculture sector. Once, Narendra Modi become Prime Minister of India, we will waive entire debt of farmers. Replying to Pawar’s recent comment questioning Uddhav’s competence to run Sena, Uddhav asserted that he got leadership of the party from Balasaheb, who was the best leader of country. “I tried to uphold dignity of Balasaheb’s legacy of patriotism, Hindutva and saffron flag and till last breath never compromise with our core beliefs,” he added.
Cautioning voters not to be swayed by money power and other allurements offered by UPA, Uddhav alleged that Congress-NCP leaders pockets irrigation projects money meant to remove Vidarbha’s backlog and now same ill-gotten money is being freely used to purchase votes. This money can’t buy loyalty of fiercely loyal Shiv Sainiks who are ferocious tigers, he thundered while appealing voters to throw out UPA and DF in next election.
Launching attack against Cobrapost sting operation that purportedly unravelled the conspiracy behind the demolition of the Babri Masjid, Uddhav said the website discovered the information after 22 years only to influence a particular section to vote against NDA. He questioned the role of Intelligence agencies saying why the agencies had no information about the plan. “I will uncover mask of the Cobrapost,” he added. In another sharp attack, the Sena supremo raised questions over Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s meeting with Imam Bukhari and said “can I meet Shankaracharya and get his confidence for the election.”
Congress calls us communal if we appeal voters over Hindutva issues however, no one dares to call Congress communal after their meeting with Imam Bukhari, Uddhav said. Will Imam Bukhari decide fate of Indian elections and next Prime Minister, Thackeray angrily asked evoking thunderous applause.
He further said that Mukul Wasnik, who is heavyweight leader of Congress party, has done nothing for the constituency. He praised Sena candidate Tumane as true representative of common man and urged people to ensure his victory on April 10.

IGP Prasanna : The man who stopped Obama’s convoy

IGP Mallikarjuna Prasanna By Dheeraj Fartode  Published on Feb/17/2019 NOT many are aware of an episode during the then US President Barack Obama’s visit to India in 2010. The world’s most powerful man was made to wait for 11 minutes in his car while an Indian cop took on American officials for their unwarranted interference in the US President’s security. KM Mallikarjuna Prasanna, Special Inspector General of Police of Nagpur Range, still continues to work with the same pride, wearing his patriotism on the sleeve. “Had they (Americans) deployed their personnel for area security, then the message would have been Indians are unable to protect VIPs in their nation,” recounted Prasanna on the episode that is one of the highlights of his distinguished career of a skillful investigator. The story of the IPS officer of 2000 batch is worth a film. In fact, a movie (Nagarjun-starrer ‘Officer’) has already been made by Ram Gopal Verma last year. His real life script also ha

CONSTRUCTION work of 700-metre-long cable-stayed bridge, longest in the country, with a viewing gallery at the top at Ambhora in Kuhi tehsil is near completion. The bridge would be open for traffic in December this year providing a major boost to tourism at Shree Chaitanyeshwar Mahadev temple at Ambhora. It is set to open doors of development for the backward area of Kuhi and Umred tehsil. Ambhora, located 75 km from Nagpur city, is a famous religious and tourist place in Vidarbha. It is situated at the confluence of five rivers -- Wainganga, Kanhan, Aam, Kolari and Murza. Just around a decade ago the river bank housing Ambhora used to see a flux of tourists from all over the State. However, the banks were submerged in water after the construction of Gosikhurd dam which led to rise in water levels. Since then, tourist flow at Ambhora has also declined. However, now with the construction of the new bridge tourists will get a chance see the scenic backwaters across the river bed which is
