IGP Chandra Kishore Mina By Dheeraj Fartode Chandra Kishore Mina, an IPS officer of the 2006 batch, has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Currently serving as Special Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Mina has held several important positions in Nagpur and the Vidarbha region. While serving as ASP in Gadchiroli, Mina led a successful anti-Naxal operation in 2009, which resulted in the Petha encounter, weakening the Naxal movement. This operation earned him the DG Insignia. As SP in Akola and Nanded, Mina used innovative methods to maintain communal harmony and resolve tensions effectively. He uncovered a state-wide kidney transplant racket in Akola and, as DCP in Nagpur, dismantled organized crime syndicates through MCOCA and MPDA cases. Women like romance, especially on Valentine’s Day, so why not take the special lady in your life on a romantic getaway. Rent a secluded cabin, fancy hotel room or take her on the vacation of her dreams. Be sure to decorate the room and order your girl’s favorite wine or dessert to make the trip extra special.


Jewelry

While jewelry is an easy gift for men who are married or have been in a relationship for a long time, if you are just dating or are not yet serious, buying jewelry can be a nerve-wracking experience. Should you buy a ring? Will she think it’s any engagement ring? Should you buy a diamond? Make it easy on yourself and don’t buy a ring for Valentine’s Day. If there is one thing women love, it’s watching their man clean. If you really want to sweep your woman off her feet, let her take Valentine’s Day weekend off and do all of the housework for her. You can do other small favors such as washing her car, doing the grocery shopping or putting away laundry instead. Not only is this an inexpensive gift option, it will probably be the one your wife or girlfriend likes the best.

Longest cable-stayed bridge to boost tourism at Ambhora

CONSTRUCTION work of 700-metre-long cable-stayed bridge, longest in the country, with a viewing gallery at the top at Ambhora in Kuhi tehsil is near completion. The bridge would be open for traffic in December this year providing a major boost to tourism at Shree Chaitanyeshwar Mahadev temple at Ambhora.
