  Sitting amid the blackened remains of his home, 32-year-old Nikesh Gawali carefully broke open a half-melted plastic box with a screwdriver. His hands shook slightly, not out of fear, but out of hope. “I’m trying to find my daughter Aarti’s gold earrings,” he said quietly, still focused on the box. “She’s just five. I got them made recently after months of labour work.” The plastic box, warped and blackened by heat, was one of the few things left from his two-room house on the outskirts of Dhamangaon village . All around him lay ash, broken tin sheets and charred wooden beams. The walls had cracked under the heat and the front room’s tin roof had caved in completely. What remained was a blackened debris all around - almost nothing to suggest a home once stood there. Nikesh earns his living as an agricultural labourer, like many in the village. Fight between AAP and NCP workers at Nagpur

Tension erupted at Jadhav square, Ganeshpeth area after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) came face to face on Saturday following AAP office ransacked at Mumbai. Ganeshpeth police detained AAP state convenor Anjali Damania and other AAP workers. The AAP alleged police action was one-sided and called the police partial.

Police said that some NCP workers torched statue of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejariwal at Ganeshpeth area. AAP workers led by Damania rushed near MSRTC’s Bus Terminus, Ganeshpeth to launch ‘Jhadu Yatra’ against NCP’s move. Sensing about the AAP protest, NCP workers rushed to the spot and started sloganeering against AAP. AAP workers were too launched sloganeering against NCP. 
Team of Ganeshpeth police station rushed to the spot and bundled AAP leaders in police vehicle. Sachin Somkuwar, Spokeperson of AAP said, the police was biased as the AAP workers were to silently taken out ‘Jhaadu Yaatra’ when the NCP workers came face to face. AAP workers including Devendra Wankhede, Girish Nandgaonkar, Rajesh Pugalia, Jammu Anand, Amrish Savarkar, Rahul Kejariwal,  Laxman Pote, Jyoti Kanere were taken to the police staiton.

DCP (crime) Sunil Kolhe By Dheeraj Fartode About 28 State Police Service (SPS) officers were granted  Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre on Monday. At Nagpur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (Crime) Sunil Kolhe is among these officers. With their promotion, Maharashtra Government will fill-up the existing vacancies of cadre posts across the State. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, approved the promotion and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), issued the notification of 28 state police officers into IPS cadre.  Maharashtra Government had earlier empanelled the 28 officers for promotion of SPS officers into IPS and criteria was they should have served for atleast eight years as Superintendent of Police (SP) or Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
