No hope of BJP victory in 2014, if top leaders fail to act right: Dr Togadia

  • Stop debate over PM, start planning for LS polls, else debacle awaits you: Dr Togadia’s prescription to faction-ridden BJP

By Dheeraj Fartode

Reacting sharply on ongoing factional feud within Bharatiya Janata Party and debate over its proposed Prime Ministerial candidate, International Working President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Dr Pravin Togadia on Monday advised the BJP first to get its act right, ensure victory over adequate number of seats, stop ongoing feud and also give more priority to organisation than individual, else it will lead to only debacle in 2014 Lok Sabha polls, he cautioned .

Dr Togadia, once known as mascot of Hindutva politics, minced no words while projecting a waterloo for BJP, if the ongoing “mad rush to declare PM candidate is not stopped.” Instead the party must carefully plan its strategy to win maximum number of Lok Sabha seats instead of making inflated claims about individual leader, he stated without naming any leader. The VHP leader and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, once close friends are not even on talking terms these days and Dr Togadia avoided naming Modi, but dropped enough hints disapproving the ongoing campaign to project him as future PM candidate of BJP.

Dr Pravin Togadia
Talking to The Hitavada at Nagpur, Dr Togadia, also advised all other parties including Congress not to join the band-wagon to name PM candidate and instead should focus on strategy to win maximum seats in coming general elections.

The VHP leader also fired salvo at Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde for his much-criticised ‘Hindu Terror’ comment and asserted that no Hindu is involved in such activity. This is pure vote-bank politics, appeasement policy and Congress leaders are not realising great damage caused to Hindu society due to such reckless and baseless statements, he stated while slamming Congress leadership for “maligning image of India and its Hindu population globally.” This has helped Pakistan and jehadi terror groups to counter Indian claims about their involvement in terror activities inside India, he pointed out. He also charged the UPA with “going soft on terror, sleeper modules and their supporters ignoring clinching evidence collected by intelligence agencies.”

‘Protect Hindus in B’desh, Pak’

The VHP leader demanded strong action to “implement Nehru-Liaquat accord” to protect minority Hindu community in Bangladesh and Pakistan. Fanatical forces have resorted to “ethnical cleansing” and forced abduction and conversion of Hindu’s in both the countries, forcing them to flee to India and seek shelter here, Dr Togadia claimed. In Bangaldesh, Hindus were 28 per cent at the time of partition and the number has gone down to 8 per cent while in Pakistan, only two per cent Hindus are left, he said.

Dr Pravin Togadia
“I have already written a letter to President of India reminding him that it is legal duty of GoI to protect our Hindu brethren in Bangladesh and Pakistan. The President has acknowledged and forwarded the letter for appropriate action,” Dr Togadia claimed. The VHP is planning to approach every member of parliament to force Indian government to pressurise Bangladesh and Pakistan to implement Liaquat–Nehru accord and protect Hindu’s, their right of property and freedom of religion.

VHP to help drought affected people

International working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Dr Pravin Togadia has appealed for donation from citizens to undertake relief work for drought affected people of Maharasthra. “VHP have arranged employment for 5,000 drought affected people in Mumbai. This people will work in various industries which are committed to cause of VHP and they live in temples and dharmshala. Everything has been arranged by VHP for them,” Dr Togadia informed ‘The Hitavada’ during his one day tour of Nagpur. He further added that society should come in front to help such needy persons. Industrialist, who wants to provide help and employment for such people, can inform on phone no 020-66803300.

IGP Prasanna : The man who stopped Obama’s convoy

IGP Mallikarjuna Prasanna By Dheeraj Fartode  Published on Feb/17/2019 NOT many are aware of an episode during the then US President Barack Obama’s visit to India in 2010. The world’s most powerful man was made to wait for 11 minutes in his car while an Indian cop took on American officials for their unwarranted interference in the US President’s security. KM Mallikarjuna Prasanna, Special Inspector General of Police of Nagpur Range, still continues to work with the same pride, wearing his patriotism on the sleeve. “Had they (Americans) deployed their personnel for area security, then the message would have been Indians are unable to protect VIPs in their nation,” recounted Prasanna on the episode that is one of the highlights of his distinguished career of a skillful investigator. The story of the IPS officer of 2000 batch is worth a film. In fact, a movie (Nagarjun-starrer ‘Officer’) has already been made by Ram Gopal Verma last year. His real life script also ha

Longest cable-stayed bridge to boost tourism at Ambhora

CONSTRUCTION work of 700-metre-long cable-stayed bridge, longest in the country, with a viewing gallery at the top at Ambhora in Kuhi tehsil is near completion. The bridge would be open for traffic in December this year providing a major boost to tourism at Shree Chaitanyeshwar Mahadev temple at Ambhora. It is set to open doors of development for the backward area of Kuhi and Umred tehsil. Ambhora, located 75 km from Nagpur city, is a famous religious and tourist place in Vidarbha. It is situated at the confluence of five rivers -- Wainganga, Kanhan, Aam, Kolari and Murza. Just around a decade ago the river bank housing Ambhora used to see a flux of tourists from all over the State. However, the banks were submerged in water after the construction of Gosikhurd dam which led to rise in water levels. Since then, tourist flow at Ambhora has also declined. However, now with the construction of the new bridge tourists will get a chance see the scenic backwaters across the river bed which is
