Country needs alternative politics, not alternative party: Govindacharya

K N Govindacharya addressing a gathering.
Coming down heavily on the Government and powers-that-be for supporting the cause of corporates and heaping injustice on common man, senior affiliate of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and convenor of Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan K N Govindacharya stressed the need to preserve India’s original culture of savings and simplicity.
Addressing a gathering of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM) workers from across the country at the end of national meet of the outfit, at NMC School ground in Gadikhana on Saturday evening, Govindacharya attacked almost all the major political leaders right from Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. At the same time, he heaped praise upon anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal, and Baba Ramdev. “We need alternative politics and not alternative party. Hazare, Kejriwal, and Ramdev should come together for betterment of India,” he said. The politicians were working for corporates and hence the democracy was in danger, he added.
National Convenor of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch Arun Ojha, Deputy Convenors Kumar Swami, Bhagwati Prakash, Pradesh Convenor Ajay Patki also were present on the dais.
“India’s original economy is based on savings and simplicity but multinational companies are trying to destroy it,” observed the proponent of Swadeshi economic model. Commenting that capitalism would end due to internal conflicts, he stressed the need to know strength, weakness opportunities, and threats for India to achieve real progress and become self-reliant.
Govindacharya flayed Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for permitting US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to intervene in internal matters of India. “He is the man with lack of confidence and self-respect. He cannot protect our Swabhiman,” he said. He also criticised Prime Minister for not conducting any meeting of National Ganga River Basin Authority in past three years despite being its chairman.
The expert on economic climate questioned the Government’s move of granting tax subsidy of Rs 2 lakh crore to corporates but withdrawing subsidy on cooking gas, petrol and diesel. Every decision taken by the Government was to benefit corporates, he alleged. When judiciary sought Rs 7,000 crore for recruitment of judges to clear around 4 crore pending cases, Finance Department cited paucity of funds. However, when it came to giving a Rs 30,000 crore relief package to Air India, the Government approved it happily. “While the Government is adopting anti-people and anti-poor policies, the Opposition is keeping mum,” he said launching an attack on the Opposition.
Govindacharya flayed Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for granting fast-track approvals to investment projects of corporates. He did not even spare Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for ignoring the plight of farmers and labourers, who were migrating to other states in search of livelihood. The senior ideologue of RSS strongly opposed for PFRDA Bill and said that future of millions of common people, particularly the retirees, was at stake.
Earlier, a ‘Swadeshi Sandesh Yatra’ was taken out from Chitnavis Park to create awareness about Swadeshi model of development. Swadeshi Jagaran Manch workers from across the country participated in the rally.

IGP Prasanna : The man who stopped Obama’s convoy

IGP Mallikarjuna Prasanna By Dheeraj Fartode  Published on Feb/17/2019 NOT many are aware of an episode during the then US President Barack Obama’s visit to India in 2010. The world’s most powerful man was made to wait for 11 minutes in his car while an Indian cop took on American officials for their unwarranted interference in the US President’s security. KM Mallikarjuna Prasanna, Special Inspector General of Police of Nagpur Range, still continues to work with the same pride, wearing his patriotism on the sleeve. “Had they (Americans) deployed their personnel for area security, then the message would have been Indians are unable to protect VIPs in their nation,” recounted Prasanna on the episode that is one of the highlights of his distinguished career of a skillful investigator. The story of the IPS officer of 2000 batch is worth a film. In fact, a movie (Nagarjun-starrer ‘Officer’) has already been made by Ram Gopal Verma last year. His real life script also ha

It is situated at the confluence of five rivers -- Wainganga, Kanhan, Aam, Kolari and Murza. Just around a decade ago the river bank housing Ambhora used to see a flux of tourists from all over the State. However, the banks were submerged in water after the construction of Gosikhurd dam which led to rise in water levels. Since then, tourist flow at Ambhora has also declined. However, now with the construction of the new bridge tourists will get a chance see the scenic backwaters across the river bed which is
