Dabo club Nagpur Efforts to reopen the controversial Dabo Club, which was shut down for 45 days following the murder of two young men, have triggered strong anger and fear among the families of the victims. The incident took place in the early hours of December 26 last year during a Christmas party at Dabo Club. Pranav Ranavare (27) was allegedly killed after a minor dispute. His friend, Gaurav Karda (34), was badly injured in the same incident and later died during treatment. The Sonegaon police arrested six accused - Soumya Deshmukh, Mehul alias Monu Rahate, Rajiv Chawla, Abhay Jhamtani, Gappu Sharma and Tushar Nankani. All the accused are currently lodged in jail. The club is owned by Directors Devyani Vijay Wadettiwar, Karan Vikram Thakkar and Mohd Hamza Rayeen. Three persons committed suicide in separate incidents under the jurisdictions of Gittikhadan, Hingna and Hudkeshwar police station areas.
In the first case, a 49-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan. According to Gittikhadan police, Santosh Bhojraj Chute (49), a resident of 576 (a), Ganga Nagar, hanged himself from ceiling fan with odni on Monday morning and ended his life. Gittikhadan police have registered a case of accidental death.
In another case, a 42-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping into a well in Hingna area. The deceased has been identified as Ashadevi Shrikant Ram (42), a resident of Indrayani Paper company, Jamtha. According to police, the incident took place in the wee hours of Saturday. She jumped into the well and ended her life. However, reason behind Ashadevi’s extreme step could not be ascertained. Hingna police have registered a case of accidental death.
In the third case, a 29-year-old woman ended her life by consuming poison. The deceased woman has been identified as Kunda Krishnaji Hude (29), a resident of Dighori Naka. According to police, Kunda consumed poison on Friday morning. She was admitted at hospital where he breathed her last on Monday morning. Hudkeshwar police have registered a case of accidental death. Two acquitted in Khapa murder case
Sessions judge R R Patare has acquitted two persons - Yogesh Gajanan Mankar and Praveen Divakar Borate - in a murder case. They were booked by Khapa police in the murder case of Yashwant Masram in year 2017.
On July 30, 2017, Prabhakar Wakhare lodged a complaint with Khapa Police station alleging that he received a phone call of labour Raju Kakade that his servant Yashwant Masram is lying dead below Kollar Bridge of Patansawangi. He suspected involvement of of Mankar and Borate.
In year 2000, Wakhare brought ancestral property from Uttam Mankar situated at Veltur however Gajanan Mankar and his three sisters also claimed their share in sold out property by filing Civil Suit in the court. Wakhare succeeded in Civil suit however accused were not delivering possession of land situated at Veltur to him therefore with the help of police protection he took possession of the land on July 17, 2017. Yashwant Masram appointed by Wakhare as watchman in the field. He also alleged that due to the said dispute, the accused committed the. API Anamika Mirzapure conducted investigation of the case and filed charge-sheet against the accused persons. As the prosecution failed to prove their case, the court has acquitted both the accused. Adv. Ramesh Rawlani and Adv. Atul Rawlani appeared for the accused and state was represented by Adv. Girish Dubey.
