Shocker : Push to reopen Dabo Club after Christmas Night double murder

Dabo club Nagpur Efforts to reopen the controversial Dabo Club, which was shut down for 45 days following the murder of two young men, have triggered strong anger and fear among the families of the victims. The incident took place in the early hours of December 26 last year during a Christmas party at Dabo Club. Pranav Ranavare (27) was allegedly killed after a minor dispute. His friend, Gaurav Karda (34), was badly injured in the same incident and later died during treatment.  The Sonegaon police arrested six accused - Soumya Deshmukh, Mehul alias Monu Rahate, Rajiv Chawla, Abhay Jhamtani, Gappu Sharma and Tushar Nankani. All the accused are currently lodged in jail. The club is owned by Directors Devyani Vijay Wadettiwar, Karan Vikram Thakkar and Mohd Hamza Rayeen. Crime Branch arrest two Angadias from Mumbai in bizman extortion case

Crime Branch have arrested two Angadias from Mumbai for their alleged involvement in fraud and extortion case in which gangster Santosh Ambekar has been arrested by City Police as prime accused. 
The accused have been identified as Ajay Patel, a resident of Malad, Mumbai and Suraj Patel, a resident of Ankleshwar, Gujrat. The team of Crime Branch is expected to reach Nagpur with the accused on Wednesday. The arrest was made under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nilesh Bharne. 
An offence under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 384, 386, 506 (b) and 34 of Indian Penal Code was registered against Ambekar and five others on Saturday for duping a businessman of Rs five crore in a property deal and also issuing threats to him for extortion of Rs one crore. Explaining roles of the Angadias, a senior officer said that Suraj Patel had deposited Rs five crore on behalf of businessman Jigar Patel while the money was collected by Ajay Patel. 
Meanwhile, the city police have arrested Ambekar’s nephew Nilesh Dhnyaneshwar Kedar (31),a  resident of Darodkar Chowk for his alleged involvement in the crime. He was remanded to four-days police custody by the court. The complaint was lodged against Ambkar by Jigar Pareshbhai Patel, a resident of Kapadvanj, District - Kheda, Gujarat with Sitabuldi police on Saturday accusing Ambekar and his accomplices for duping him of Rs five crore and demanding extortion of Rs one crore.

Youth raped 11-year-old girl in Kamptee 

Two rape cases were registered in New Kamptee and Hudkeshwar police station area. 
In the first case, New Kamptee police have booked a 20-year-old youth for raping a 11-year-old girl at her house. Accused Akshay Suresh Borkar (20), a resident of New Kamptee entered in the house of the victim and raped her on October 4. Soon after the incident came to fore, the accused fled the city. The cops have registered a case under Sections 376 (a) (b) of Indian Penal Code read with Section 4 of POSCO Act. 
In another case, a youth befriended with a 27-year-old on Facebook and raped her on pretext of marriage. Accused Santosh Ganesh Nagrikar is the resident of Ghatanji town in Yavatmal district. The accused befriended the girl on Facebook in March this year. They exchanged phone numbers and met in the city. Santosh promised the girl of marriage and raped her. Hudkeshwar police have registered the case under Sections 376 (2) (n), 417 of Indian Penal Code.

DCP (crime) Sunil Kolhe By Dheeraj Fartode About 28 State Police Service (SPS) officers were granted  Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre on Monday. At Nagpur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (Crime) Sunil Kolhe is among these officers. With their promotion, Maharashtra Government will fill-up the existing vacancies of cadre posts across the State.
